GUEST: And then when Mom passed, my sister got Mom's diamond.
APPRAISER: (chuckles) GUEST: Dad said, "That's worth something."
and he threw in a couple of Avon plates, too.
APPRAISER: (laughing): GUEST: So...
So it now proudly sits in my living room above my husband's gun safe.
APPRAISER: Uh-huh.
Well, what you brought in is a fascinating sculpture.
It's by the artist John Rogers.
Titled The Peddler at the Fair.
And we have this wonderful peddler here, uh, on horseback.
It's clearly marked, "John Rogers."
And then the date, "1878."
So they're really wonderful and they're quite rare, but somehow there's not a very, very strong market for them.
Uh, a retail value on this would probably be about $500.
GUEST: Even in this condition?
APPRAISER: Even in this condition.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: Because it can be, it can be fairly easily repaired, and those repairs don't really affect the value of the piece.
