Keep it up.
Before we roll into round two, we're going to take a moment to pause and get to know our players a little bit this week.
And we're going to start with the team from Hopkinton High School.
Hopkinton High School enrolls just under 300 students in the capital region of the state.
And from among those students we have our team Captain Adam, who is a baseball fan.
I take it because you've memorized what, every World Series winner by year.
Every World Series winner by year.
Okay.
So I was born in the year 1978.
So who won the World Series in 78?
New York Yankees.
Rough.
That's a rough year as a Red Sox fan.
So you how did this happen?
How did you end up memorizing all the teams?
You know, I was big baseball fan all my life.
I knew the ones from the seventies onwards for a while.
And then one night I decided to memorize the rest of them.
And you just did it.
Why not?
Why not memorizing things?
There you go.
All right.
Football next.
We'll see.
We'll see.
All right.
He's joined by Colton, who got to do a pretty cool trip last spring.

Where'd you get to go?
And why did you get to go there?
So basically, my school did an exchange program with a school in Normandy in France.
We got to stay over there with French families for about two and a half weeks.
And I obviously made really good friends with my exchange student.
His name is Hugo, and he came to stay with me this fall.
Excellent.
So this is a sister school type situation.
So you went there?
They came here.
You and Hugo still keeping in touch?
Absolutely.
Fantastic.
I love it.
All right.
They're joined by Flo and Flo, maybe an aspiring politician yourself.
You've got to meet some politicians during the primary season.

Was this just at campaign events around the state during the primaries?
Yeah.
All right.
Do you maybe get a chance to see any or.
I'm hoping to, yeah, hoping to.
Maybe in the next primaries when they come around.
Should I be looking out for you to be running for office in the future?
All right.
Excellent.
Well, what's one of the great things.
New Hampshire has to offer is its primary so good on you for getting involved?
You know, we talked about football a second ago in Jackson.
The last player on a team is a die hard fan of what team Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers.
So maybe a little unexpected for a New Englander.

It's all all runs in the family.
My dad's side, my grandparents on my dad's side were from Pittsburgh.
Gotcha.
And even though my mom and her side of the family is a Patriots fan, yeah, I just, like, fall in line.
Grandparents teach your dad to be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He teaches you to be a Steelers fan.
All right.
You going to continue the tradition on?
Probably.
Probably.
All right.
Excellent.
And that is the team from Hopkinton High School.
All right.
We're going to take a minute to get to know the team from Salem High School, starting with Captain Quinn, Junior.
Captain Quinn learning to do something that I think is pretty cool and fairly unusual for a high school student.
You're learning to read what?
I'm learning to read Tarot cards.
Tarot cards.
So how did this come about?
Well, I've always been a very strong believer in luck, and I've always found that the interpretability of tarot cards be fascinating.
So my library had a pact to learn how to do it.
So I picked it up recently and I've been learning how.
So you've been learning how to do it.
All right.
Excellent.
Have you have you read anyone's future I had before?
Yes.
And particularly John for Quiz Ball today, I actually read our fortune for Granite State Challenge and the card driver was the higher reversed, which can simply symbolize false leadership or being led astray by someone.
Okay, take that as you will.
I hope that no one lead you astray.
And then I read all of the questions with perfect precision.
Let's hope for that.
All right.
Speaking of precision, the next player on the team, Megan, uses some precision to be to excel at your sport.
What is it?
I do swim.
Swimming.
So you're on the swim team at Salem High School.
And so when did you start swimming?
Well, I'd always started swimming when I was younger.
And then I took a break, do dance, and then I was like, Hey, why not do it again?
I started back when I was a freshman and continue it hopefully all the way through senior year.
And when you did it as a freshman, was that the first time you started doing it competitively?
Yes.
All right.
And what's your what's your favorite event that you do is a 50 freestyle, 50 freestyle sprinting on down the line.
Perfect.
All right, Megan, you're joined by Seth, who got to meet someone I think is super cool, but you just get to meet this person.
Tell us.
I got to shake hands with Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Okay, So tell everyone at home who Neil deGrasse Tyson is if they don't know.
So Neil deGrasse Tyson is a famous astrophysicist and science communicator.
And one day when I was, I think ten, I went to a presentation he did about exoplanets, and I had to sit in the front because I'm my eyesight's pretty bad and I forget exactly what I said.
But I made some comment during the show and he found it so funny that he he reached out and he shook my hand.
And it was he appreciated the cleverness of your quip.
It was hard, hard to wash my hand after that, but I had to cave in.
I bet.
I bet.
Well, that's a wonderful story, man.
And we love Neil deGrasse Tyson here at New Hampshire, PBS.
Rounding out the team is Sophie.
A bit of a musician, plays two instruments that I find anyone who can play these two instruments.
I just am so impressed.
And they are piano and cello.

In the pit orchestra.
There you go.

Very cool.
Well, keep it up and hopefully the show goes well.
And this is your team from Salem High School.
All right, teams, we're going to roll into round two.
In round two, we do are three strikes and you're out round.
And the way this round works is each team gets ten questions.
We go right down the line, player by player, starting with the team captains.
Each player gets one question and we go down the line until all ten questions are asked or until three strikes and you are out.
Each team has three passes, so if you don't know, you can pass it to your teammate next to you.
And just as a reminder, there's a bit of a clue to your question in the previous question, so be paying attention to that.
We do this in alphabetical order.
