Some had meetings and militias of patriots sworn to the cause.
Many had soldiers dedicated to our independence.
A few towns even had generals leading these men.
But there was one town that had four generals.
Nottingham not only had four Revolutionary War era generals living in town.
But believe it or not, these four men all lived within sight of each other on what is now the Nottingham Town square.
If you visit the square, you'll see a monument placed there by the Daughters of the American Revolution memorializing these four generals.
Fun fact, their names engraved around the bottom of the monument.
Point to the locations of each of their homes.
