Where to Watch In Pursuit: Lessons of American Leadership
In Pursuit: Lessons of American Leadership is available to stream on pbs.org and the PBS app.
- [Speaker] We are 250 years into our democratic experiment.
- [Lonnie] The president's job is to make real those ideals of the Founding Fathers.
- You can tell a lot about a president by whose pictures are on the walls of the Oval Office.
It's like they have the dead whispering to them.
- What we have experienced in previous generations is shaping what we are seeing now.
- There are good presidents who have done solid jobs.
There are presidents who failed, but the great presidents are ones that help us imagine what is yet to be.
(light thoughtful music)
