Today, we'll complete the look with a built-in window seat, more shelving, and a trip to a toymaker's workshop.

-Last time on "Baby Makes 3," our couple has chosen one of the largest rooms in their home for the nursery.
Our design plan calls for the color palette of beiges and blues.
And we add vertical stripes on an accent wall behind the crib.
Across the room, we've created a full wall of built-in bookcases with a window seat.
We've completed several craft projects, including putting our couple to work on creating a colorful piece of art to hang over the changing table.
Right now, we're finishing up our window seat by upholstering the cushion being placed underneath.
Well, this is your window seat.
And that's gonna go between the two built-in bookshelves.
And you notice that it's quite large, 'cause that's gonna give you lots of space to sit down and relax and read with your baby.
And this is Juan Matamoros.
-Hi.
-Nice to meet you.
-Nice meeting you.
-He's an expert upholsterer from Just Your Style, and he's gonna help us upholster this window seat.
So where do we begin?
-Yes, well, this is a very simple piece of cushion.
It consists of three layers -- basically, just the wood that you had, the board that you were going to mount onto the window seat, the foam, okay, and the padding.
All of this is really easy to get.
You can get it at a fabric outlet store or a craft store.
I have cut this to fit.
So after that, to find the center, just to make sure that, you know, it's not too short on one side... -Yeah.
-...I fold it, you know, like that.
And what I do is I mark... my center like so.
What we are going to do is match it.
-So this is the mark.
-Yes, already marked the board.
-And that's the center.
-This is the center, so I'm going to match this line with -- with the cut I made right here, so... -Okay.
-Now we want to lay... the fabric... -Okay.
-...face-down, and we're going to put -- center this on top of it.
-Okay.
-This way, so it's even.
-Okay.
-You can see we have enough to cover the side.
We want to double-check that.
-Mm-hmm.
-'Cause we don't want to do all that work and then have to take off staples.
That's not fun.
-No.
-The next step is stapling.
What we want to do is pull this fabric.
-Okay.
-Not too much.
Then you want to secure that... like that.
-So you start on the middle.
-Yes.
You want to match -- Remember those lines?
-Mm-hmm.
-You want to kind of match that.
And sometimes when you have excess fabric like this, it's kind of in your way.
So you want to trim a little.
Go to the next center, right here.
-Oh, okay.
-We want to center this the best we can.
Oh, excuse me.
Okay.
It's best to grab it from the center... -Mm-hmm.

-Oh, I see, yeah.
-Oh, that is better.
-Like that.
So... Do now close to the corner, not at the corner, you know?
-Okay.
-Secure that, and do the same thing over here.
Usually what I do is I stand it up like this.
So this is what I want to do is just kind of -- -And you're bringing your hand over from the front just to keep it smooth?
-Yes, to keep it kind of, you know, smooth, but not too tight.
Now we are going to do the same thing on the sides, and then we're going to finish the corners.
Okay, so you want to bring the fabric from the side, okay, underneath the front.
Okay?
And what you do is you fold... you make this fold right there.
So you want to secure that right there.
And sometimes to get rid of some of the material, I go ahead and cut this extra.
And as you can see, it wasn't that difficult to finish this corner.

-Great.
-Okay.
So, in order to drill these holes through, we're gonna use this type of bit.
It's a spade or a paddle bit.
-Mm-hmm.
-It's real easy for making a clean hole through wood.
The main thing that you want to watch out for with this bit is if you drill all the way through in one go, it kind of blows out the other side.
So you have to drill it through both sides and meet in the middle, all right?
So what we're gonna try to do is put four holes -- one in each corner.
