(blues music) - Saturday's the first time I saw this show, I sat down with my guitar, and it was the tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I wanted to be there.
Soon after that, Stevie Ray Vaughan, show 1983, showed up.
That was the next one for me.
Then it was the '89.
Ad I was like, "Okay."
There's a reason why I play a certain style of guitar."
Like I play humbuckers and P90's 'cause anytime I try and pick up a strap, I automatically wanna play like Stevie, and it's just not gonna happen.
There was only one Stevie.
So you can channel as much as you want, but I think Stevie is one of those musicians who was just tapped into the source, like very pure.
You can't recreate that.
You can't do it exactly.
So I'm scared.
You know what I mean?
(audience cheers) (blues music) The last time I ever played "Pride and Joy" on stage was probably 1998.
Me and my good friend Eve Monsees played that song for our eighth grade talent show.
Shout out to Covington Middle School.
Yeah.

And I'd sit there with my guitar and that was my education.
