Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipWe sit on tradition Pueblo Indian land here at#IAIA.
So we want to make sure that we have a respect for the land that the people who are#from here would show.
The land grant program has two basic goals.
One is to make sure# that we have a healthy place for students to interact with so they can use the land# not only for their artwork, for inspiration, but also a place to relax, a place to meditate,# a place where they can become better students.
Our second goal is also to help heal the land.
We're trying to increase water retention, bring back native plants, and also bring back# pollinators so that the land can be healthy.
Our students are able to use the plants that we grow for their artwork, for weaving, for dyes, and just for inspiration, for paintings and#drawings and photography.
We're trying to make sure that the land has been healed so people have# a good place to go and just get back to nature.
