Ready, and head round, action.

Season 2, I wanted to up the thriller elements that are always present in the Simenon novels.

We're following a young woman, blonde hair, denim jacket, pink backpack.

We engineered the thinking man, and then this second season, we know the characters so well, and then our lead gives us that so much.

It's a detective show with heart.

It's a why done it, not a who done it.

We get a new inspector, played by Alex Bhat.

Inspector George Bonfils, has been transferred to your section.

Another big arrival is Nat Parker.

But I am concerned about him.

He is becoming a law unto himself.

He is the authority.

He decides that Maigret needs to be taken down a peg.

Inspector Cavre, IGDS, investigating Maigret for a bad decision that he's made.

Now you know what it feels like.

It's Maigret under pressure, even more so than the first season, and a sense of time running out on the personal front.

Away from all this idleness and noise, we stand a much better chance of having what we both want so badly.

Her longing to be a mother is so tangible and present in everything.

You never want the person that you love to give up a part of themselves for you.

Sorry to interrupt.

Lapointe called.

Maigret's got a very unorthodox way of policing.

As we know, can be a bit of a maverick.

It means breaking a little bit of the rules, maybe bending them a little bit.

He gets results by being that way.

Stop enabling him.

The team have to decide how far they personally want to go.

You crossed too many lines.

People are waiting for you to fail.

It's the question of the series.

It's the job for life, or he should prioritize his family.

It's more exciting.

There is more action.

There is more restrained violence.

And there's more psychological intensity.

Now you'll know what it feels like.

This is a more intense ride.

You can't live your life just following the rules.

I think that's not how life works.

Back on the case.

Season 2 is coming.
