We moved to New Hampshire in 1973, late, late 73, and we looked at a, several communities, but we looked at Warner and, we had heard about the number of artists and writers and craftsmen in Warner.
And I said, that's if we can find a place that's where I'd like to go.
So we've been here over 50 years in the same house, and we never regretted moving to the town.
It's just a great place to raise a family and live in.
The community is terrific.
I'm a woodworker.
I've been retired for 21 years, and I pursue that hobby for all that time.
I specialize in Celtic wood carving as well as doing making furniture.
I've made a lot of signs in for, in town here.
This past summer, I made, signs for the two covered bridges in Warner and, sort of honoring, 250th anniversary of the town's founding.
So these bridges were one was built in 1840 and the other was 1836.
They had never had, you know, they never had name boards.
So the historical society said, no, this time.
That's what I did.
Well, I think over it, over the years, the community has grown in terms of the support for artists.
We have the bookstore here.
We've seen that established.
And the gallery it provides a venue for artists and craftsmen to, sell their work.
We've been blessed with a lot of people who come to Warner and want to give.
And, you know, that's really what it's all about.
It's the community.
It's the people in this town that make it what it is.
